Blog spam garbage?

Seriously, WTF? I'm now getting inundated with blog spam crap - specifically, piles of comments and trackback pings that are complete random character garbage. They don't point to a website, they don't pimp any products (or for that matter, say anything at all - just random characters as body text). The random character websites are just garbage (they aren't actually real). They are coming from a lot of different sources, so it isn't a coordinated attack from a single source.

I mean, I don't really understand the whole point.... why bother? It creates work for me to maintain my blog, and gains whoever is doing absolutely nothing. Or is this the new order - just make blogger's life a complete pain in the ass, so they don't bother to run blogs anymore?

Classic

Classic line, uttered by business partner after a long and trying morning fighting with a third-party warranty company:

"I'd quit if I didn't own this place!"

A thank you goes out to...

... the person who has their computer at IP address 64.207.17.100.

I thank you for visiting my website or getting my email address on your computer somehow. I appreciate that you don't think you need a virus scanner on your system. I appreciate that even after you HAVE been infected by a virus (the W32/Mytob virus) for nearly a week, you still haven't bothered to try to fix the system. I appreciate the fact that in the last week alone, I have received over 275 virus-related emails - either directly from you, or as bounces when you are sending out the same virus to other people using my return address.

Thank you very much. It is greatly appreciated!
